Pairing the phone with a six-character code.

Pairing

  1. Get the code

    Devices, then Connect a phone. The code has six characters, lasts ten minutes and works once.

  2. Type it into the app

    Open DroidSender on the phone and enter the code. The phone does not sign into any account: the code is the credential.

  3. Grant the SMS permissions

    Without them the phone connects to the account but cannot send.

  4. Done

    The phone appears on the dashboard within seconds, with battery and status.

Checking the status

The Devices page lists each phone with its status, battery and last activity.

Importing the phone's history is optional

If you allow it when pairing, the last six months of conversations are imported so replies land in an existing thread. It runs in batches with a progress bar, and can take a few minutes on a phone with a lot of history.
